News: Planning Permission for House Extension in Curbar

Tom Crooks Architecture Ltd. has secured planning permission for a subterranean extension to a former Coach House in Curbar, in the Hope Valley. We were appointed as Architects to prepare proposals for an extension to provide an additional en-suite bedroom and study space. As the building had previously been extended, we proposed a subterranean extension, buried into the hillside, to enable an extension without the visual impact on the host dwelling.

In spite of being a building of local historic significance, adjacent the churchyard and within the Conservation Area, we secured planning permission for the extension, which is now progressing towards the construction stages.
